I started to see Stacy Rae on Sept 11, 2009. I was almost 49 years old. I knew that I wanted to be in better physical shape by the time I reached my 50th Birthday. Stacy Rae was excited for my decision. She made up a program which stretched me but was achievable.

Stacy Rae introduced me to her body-type weight training philosophy and educated me as to the specific goals for an ectomorph body type. Together we established a workout regime of 40% cardiovascular exercise and 60% resistance training. As weight is not an issue, my primary goal was to build more muscle mass and increase bone density which are consistent goals with the ectomorph [long and lean] body type.

When Stacy Rae was asked to film her specific workouts applicable to each body type for the “Take Five” health website . I was able to experience her creating specific workout regimes and exercises that would help each specific body type reach their individual goals. I observed, as I had personally experienced in my own workouts, Stacy Rae’s attention to detail and correct form, her constant support and encouragement of her clients, and her ultimate professionalism.

I have increasing respect for Stacy Rae’s vast knowledge and experience in the field personal training. Not only do I value her expertise as my personal trainer, I value and respect her as a person and as my friend. My work with Stacy Rae has improved my general well being, my bone density, and it definitively gives me the confidence to wear my new “skinny jeans”. Thank you Stacy Rae!

Then we transitioned into her gym. After a few weeks of personal training I had to go in for surgery and would not be able to exercise for a few months. However when I was ready to start up again, joined a group class of strength training, stretching and cardio. It was a wonderful experience; I saw awesome results and lost a total of 8.5 inches all over my body! I went down 1 dress size, lost fat and gained muscle in just a matter of almost 3 months! Most importantly she energized me to continue working out and being healthy for the long haul. The environment in her gym is upbeat, fun and everyone works hard! Through a dear friend pushing me not to wait another 2 months for my foot to heal, I went to see Stacy and she was able to work around my injury. In fact it is amazing to see her in action – I have seen her working with 4 of us at one time in her studio and three of us have totally different injuries and she can with non-stop consistency focus on each of us as if we are the only ones there. Stacy’s passionate about her clients – not just the work out, she genuinely cares about what’s going on with you and the entire time she is educating you about your body and nutrition. In 13 sessions with her so far I have lost 7 lbs and my body is changing (oh yeah, I still have my boot on too), I am feeling great and not so much a mess anymore. Stacy – I miss our time together but you would be really proud of me – I’m totally on track with my cardio sessions with a goal of 200 minutes a week, I’m eating clean and lost 2 more pounds 🙂 I am down 9 lbs total so far!
